War Room Review

I saw this movie on Sunday before My Ravens game with my mom. It is a very good Christian movie with great messages. I wasn’t crazy about the over preachy aspects of it in the older woman who helped a younger woman real estate agent dealing with family & marital issues. I personally feel you don’t force someone to pray because that’s what works for you. I test the waters first on folks reaction to prayer. If they are receptive to it great. I understand the movie makes the assumption the younger woman was but that’s not reality for everyone.

Great message I took away of dealing with challenges of creating your own space for your “War Room”. A place with scriptures to use for dealing with your challenges faced or just for being thankful and showing gratitude. Be it posting them on a wall in the room. Or using your hard copy bible or using an electronic notebook for scriptures.

It is a well recommended movie to check out. As long as you are aware of things situated in the movie are done so to keep with the Christian based theme. 🙂

Stop The Madness if you have a government job and you use the bible on how to do it!

Kim Davis, a state government clerk in Rowan County, Kentucky has refused to register same sex marriage licenses in her area. This has happened since the official Supreme Court ruling in June. As a so called Christian she can believe how she wants and hide behind the bible, inspite of her own hypocrisies shown below. But perhaps this is her own definition of “religious freedom” for her lifestyle choices that folks shouldn’t judge this Christian woman on. #RollingMyEyes

Apparently she missed the biblical quote from Matthew 7: 1-5   Stating

Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.  For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

3 And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Anywhere else someone works you have tasks or roles you don’t want to do. You either do it or if you opt to not do it find another job, prepare to obtain another job (while working the current spot) or quit. Apparently her “religious freedom” needs to keep earning a paycheck on tax payer’s dollars to take care of them twins with a remarried spouse. This Washington Post article gives more insight into Davis and the small Appalachian town.

It is crazy as a tax payer to fathom someone in an elected role refusing to perform a legally binding law that the people of her area have a right to without drama.

Other state government folks who work in similar license spots like in Tennessee have actually resigned from their role. With no backup plan because of course faith & prays The Lord will provide.  Which I respect them doing as an Imperfect Christian because at least they stood to their beliefs without causing drama for others trying to do their jobs they are assigned to do & have no issues about.  Although what if you land another job with tasks to not want to do because of your Christian faith? Will you quit that too? You may be better off seeking self employment of your own business. Yet keep in mind customers in your business may not believe like you do. So basically you never get out of the cycle of not everyone has the same beliefs as you do and it’s not the end of the world. It may hurt your pockets & reputation standing on your faith. Especially if not open to serving all people period! That’s a reality in this economic climate! Where green along with satisfying the customer is the bottom line!

I’m glad a judge is holding her in contempt of court in a nice jail cell for her refusal of doing her job of offering things that are legal. While in jail her staff she terrorized and made doing their jobs a living hell (with irritating news coverage they didn’t want)
can process gay marriage licenses!

Perhaps seperation of church and state needs a reminder to several times married Mrs. Davis. While also in her jail cell perhaps she can talk to God on her own hypocrisies & selfish behavior in her government elected role.

Another lesson the mainstream media will not address with this topic that’s lost in the sauce? This is an EXCELLENT example of why people need to know some info on the people you vote for in local office & how they stand on issues. Elections have consequences is NO JOKE on how elected officials opt to carry out procedures per the law! Or per their distorted hateful agenda on tax payers’ dollars! Please register to vote or make sure to vote and know some background on who is running!
